This is the third year for the AWANA program at CHCC. God has chosen to bless this ministry tremendously to the degree that we will be adding another level of participation for ‘clubbers’. The TREK level is for 7th and 8th graders and continues the AWANA commitment to instilling biblical principles in young people through bible lessons, scripture memorization and interaction with a ‘road trip’ theme.

God has truly blessed Center Hill Church with this Awana program as it continues to grow.
My comment this week is on last Sunday’s sermon and the study following. I have been having some troubles with my prayer life, and the sermon and study helped give me a few answers and guidance. I have a real hard time explaining my feelings, but here goes. I do believe that my whole life as been pre-ordained by God. That he already knows and has even planned what my life events will be. Even to writing this comment! So, when I pray, do I have a right to ask for things such as physical healing for myself and others? Because, He already knows what the outcome will be! The answer that I heard Sunday, was that God does want to hear from his children regardless of what they are asking. Although our prayers may not be answered as we would desire, they will be answered in His time and way. Also, that His anwers will be to fulfill His plan for us. Although I will continue to question whether my requests are God’s will, I will continue to ask God for my desires and pray for his will in my life.
Another answer that I heard was that prayer keeps me on a much closer walk with Christ. For these anwers, I am grateful.
