For we are not, like so many, peddlers of God’s word, but as men of sincerity, as commissioned by God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.  – 2 Corinthians 2:17

‘Men of sincerity’, how Paul referred to himself and his faithful friends within the ministry of the gospel of Christ. True men of ministry are sincere about their faith and in their proclamation of the entire gospel, the complete Word of God. They are not as those that are trying to make a quick sale at the market place, ‘peddling’ the message of God. They live and proclaim their message sincerely as if they stand before God, the Judge of all hearts, with open lives and open lips.

It is what we want to ever be ascribing to as men at Center Hill. To that end, we will be starting a new ministry called “Men of Sincerity” at our church. It will be the expressed goal of this ministry to have sincere men lead our congregation in corporate prayer and to be the models of prayer to our families at CHCC. They will weekly lead us in biblical prayer during our time of morning worship. They will themselves prepare and carry the adoration, thanksgiving and requests of our people to the very throne of God each week in our services.

It is the concern of our leadership at Center Hill that we as a people truly do not know how to pray. We don’t understand the significance and the life altering power of prayer. We, as a church, want to be a people marked by prayer, a people hungry for prayer, a people sustained by prayer.

To the men of our church, I would ask that you seek God’s desire for your being a part of this leadership team, to become men of sincerity, speaking in Christ.
